Jessica Ann (JesAnn) Nail has been dancing around Texas for over twenty-five years! She loves being creative through Dance, Art, Photography and Improv.
She started taking dance and gymnastics at the young age of three and continued studying Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Gymnastics, and Cheerleading throughout high school. JesAnn has been dancing the Two Step for as long as she can remember and in college, she added Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Movement Theatre, and Salsa to her repertoire. JesAnn's extensive dance, gymnastics and cheerleading experience made becoming a Gymnastics Coach the natural next step!
After 10 years of teaching gymnastics, JesAnn enrolled in a teacher training class for partner dancing and hasn't looked back! When working for Fred Astaire Dance Studios in Houston, TX, she began teaching American Ballroom (Smooth and Rhythm) and received several Top Teacher Awards at National competitions.
After moving to Austin in 2009 she joined Go Dance Studio, where she fell in love with West Coast Swing.
JesAnn loves West Coast Swing, because of the unparalleled creativity, freedom, and musicality it allows. She currently travels across the nation competing in both Jack & Jill and Strictly Swing in order to bring the very best of the Swing Dance world to her students durring private lessons, group classes and workshops.
She has had the honor of working with the Dancing with the Stars Austin fund raiser for the past 2 years, and has proudly performed at various other fund raisers and exhibitions across the United States.
In 2012 she decided to follow her dreams and start her own Dance business, Art In Motion. JesAnn enjoys connecting with her students and sharing the creativity and self-expression dance allows people to experience. She teaches with patience, adaptability, and open communication. JesAnn understands that each student has different needs, goals, and style, so she caters her instruction to each individual.
"I enjoy finding out how people work, what they need, and helping them to meet their creative and social dance goals to better their lives."
